THE EVOLUTION IN INDIAN RAP:

Chaar Diwaari aka Garv Taneja is the new age Desi Hip Hop(DHH) artist from Delhi has become the sound the country is obsessing over. Garv was only 12 when he started writing and composing songs.He grew up listening to 80s Bollywood the whole day on a radio.He did go to music school during lockdown but dropped out to start creating the songs he would like to listen to.His Parents supported his decision of dropping out of the college and now Chaar Diwaari is topping the charts on Spotify.His fusion of rap elements with unique persepective to his narratives sets him apart from other existing DHH artist.

WHY THE NAME CHAAR DIWAARI?

In a podcast when Garv was asked about how he came up with his stage name as Chaar Diwaari, he explained that the idea of this name came halfly from his mother and his own philosophy towards the word.His mom used to complain why he is always inside the four walls of his room and Garv himself feels infinite as a creator of music when he is inside the four walls of his room.

NOTABLE TRACKS AND ALBUMS:

Chaar Diwaari started off uploading songs with his first single KAUN MERA? with a great message through it's music video followed by many more singles.In 2022, he released his album TERI MAIYAT KE GAANE(TMKG) which was created based on Greek Mythology's fiction book Dante's Inferno. Chaar Diwaari mostly keeps his songs open to interpretration for his audience but the song decoders on the internet who're really intrigued to understand Diwaari's art says he is making the album's songs sychronized based on the 9 Circle of Hell from Dante's Inferno.The concept like this has never been created in India that too in rap scene.

FUTURE OF DIWAARI:

Garv once shared about his experience in the music school telling his teacher used to criticize his music alot.Even that criticism never led Diwaari doubting his art.He most frequently shares stories motivating his own self saying "Chaar Diwaari is what Chaar Diwaari will become".He has great friend circle in the music industry which helps his music reach to every ear in this country. Chaar Diwaari promised to create the themed albums with unique music videos which are eye catching and questioning.
